Ron Roberts, known as “The Contractor’s Business Coach” recently wrote an article that covers one of the biggest challenges that small contractors face while trying to grow their business…..the need to trust others.
According to the article, most people who start a construction firm are independent and considered entrepreneurs. However, as the business grows, they can be pulled in many directions for a variety of different tasks. Each task takes up time and there are only so many hours each day to get things done. One person simply can’t do it all themselves.
An important part of business growth is creating a team of people with the various skills and personalities needed to manage certain parts of the business on your behalf. This means finding the right mix of people, and then trusting them to work with you to ensure long-term success.
